Dead Air
The Holy Island of Lindisfarne is a tidal island off the Northumbrian coast of England. On it, lies the remains of a priory, built on the site of the first Viking invasion in Britain back in the year 793AD. It is here where an entire monastery of defenceless monks were brutally killed, and their valuables looted. For over 1200 years, claims of miracles, healing & apparitions of monks have lead this to be considered one of the most spiritual places in Britain. I just had to come and investigate...spending 2 nights in order to cover such a large island. This is also the first investigation of using a new piece of equipment - a hand built GeoPort thanks to its creator, George Brown. ————-Contents of this video ————— 0:00 - Intro 1:08- History Holy Island 6:20 - Investigation of Sandham Bay beach 15:25 - Following in the footsteps of Vikings 41:58 - 1st vigil at the priory 49:00 - Investigating the burial site at the priory 51:47 - Exploring the beach by Cuthbert’s Island 1:01:18 - Taking the GeoPort into the burial site 1:05:11 - Taking the GeoPort to the priory 1:10:14 - Outro and end screen Instagram: @DeadAirOfficial Website: deadair.uk Music: Discovering Studio Tracks - Shifting Space KPM Music - Fear Megatrax - Monk’s Chant Primary - Unseen Terror VideoHelper - Crematorium Archive footage: BBC Archive, Vikings S01E02 - ‘The Wrath of the Northmen’ (The History Channel)
