Most Haunted's Yvette Fielding, Karl Beattie and Stuart Torevell split up into solo vigils for a very active investigation of the abandoned police station and courts in Accrington, Lancashire. It's the team's fourth investigation produced exclusively for their YouTube channel. The online-only episode, labeled a 'Most Haunted Short' see the gang roaming the corridors of the grade II listed building, which also known as the "urban lockup". Accrington Police Station and Courts is situated on the edge of Accrington town centre and was previously jointly used as a magistrates court and police station by the Accrington division of Lancashire Police. Since the police moved out in 2016, the building has been abandoned and become a popular haunt for paranormal investigators. The activity experienced at the building is said to range from unexplained knocks and bangs through to loud footsteps and disembodied voices and slamming doors. Yvette was alone on the ground floor, where almost straight away she heard a loud bang like a door slamming nearby and latter in the investigation heard what sounded like footsteps and even thought she saw a shadow moving around. There was one terrifying moment for Yvette during her vigil when a door seemed to slam closed on request. Karl was in the old police cells where he was encountering constant banging sounds coming from the seemingly empty cells. The bangs were followed by a series of disembodied whistling sounds echoing along the corridor in front of him. Later he heard sounds coming from the opposite end of the corridor, but when he went to investigate the sound was coming from where he previously was. Karl said it was as if something was playing with him. Meanwhile Stuart was in the office area, where he was also hearing unexplained sounds coming from a darkened room behind him. Later the sounds escalated and he too heard what he thought sounded like footsteps.
