Paranormal Quest
This beautiful lighthouse was built in 1875 to replace the tower that had previously been there since 1826. Its job was to alert vessels of the shoreline and the dangers that come with sailing too close. There were countless shipwrecks here on Lake Erie despite the warnings, and many believe that the spirits of those lost in the water may have followed the light looking for safety. The ghosts of soldiers are also said to haunt the property as well, both from the war of 1812 and from WWII and Vietnam. The upstairs is now a military museum, and the energy of the soldiers may have followed their uniforms, helmets, weapons, or property to this lighthouse and appear to unsuspecting guests. In the late 1800s, 4 children got caught in the waves beside the lighthouse, and 2 of them drowned. Employees, tour guides, and guests have all had experiences with what they believe to be the spirits of these children as the laugh, sing, play ball, and even tug at clothing trying to het people's attention. When the sun goes down, this lighthouse still has a very important job to do, but when the house is empty the ghosts come out to play. Tonight we will stay the night inside this haunted lighthouse to find out if the stories of paranormal activity are true!
